Powered by an ATmega2560 microcontroller, it has 6 GPIO pins, on-board 5x5 RGB LED Matrix, a buzzer, 4 push buttons and Bluetooth 2.0 for wireless connectivity. It can also be used as a wearable. It can be controlled via apps created through MIT App Inventor. User can also create there own games using the Maker Board. The Maker Board can be easily programmed using Avishkaar Maker Studio.
