#TechItUp | The Solution to #Make Electronic Piano

#TechItUp | Electronic Piano

Here is the process which we followed, you can follow the same to make your electronic piano.

What all you need?

  • IC 555
  • Perfboard-1
  • 1K resistor-1
  • 10K resistor-1
  • 100nF capacitor- 1
  • 10uF capacitor-1
  • Pencil(2B/4B/6B)-1
  • Buzzer-1
  • Alligator clips-2
  • Battery 9V -1
  • Battery clip -1
  • Blank paper-1
  • Connecting wires/Jumper cables

Note: Please make all the connections using connecting wires.

Steps to Make

  • Step 1: Connect pin 1 of 555 IC to GND on the breadboard.
  • Step 2: Connect pin 2 of 555 IC with pin 6 of 555 IC.
  • Step 3: Connect 10K resistor at G53 on the breadboard.
  • Step 4: Connect another end of the 10K resistor at G57 on the breadboard.
  • Step 5: Connect pin 2 of 555 IC at F53 on the breadboard.
  • Step 6: Connect 10uF capacitor’s negative terminal at C60 and positive terminal at C61 on the breadboard.
  • Step 7: Connect pin 3 of 555 IC at B60 on the breadboard.
  • Step 8: Connect buzzer’s positive terminal at I63 and negative terminal at I62.
  • Step 9: Connect buzzer’s negative terminal to GND on the breadboard.
  • Step 10: Connect 100 nF capacitor at C56 and C57 on the breadboard.
  • Step 11: Connect pin 2 of 555 IC at A56 on the breadboard.
  • Step 12: Connect A57 to GND on the breadboard.
  • Step 13: Connect pin 4 of 555 IC with pin 8 of 555 IC.
  • Step 14: Connect pin 7 of 555 IC at H57 on the breadboard.
  • Step 15: Connect 1K resistor’s one end at J56 and another end at J60.
  • Step 16: Connect pin 7 of 555 IC at I56 on the breadboard.
  • Step 17: Connect I60 to 9V on the breadboard.
  • Step 18: Connect pin 8 to 9V on the breadboard.
  • Step 19: Connect one wire to pin 7 of 555 IC and join another end of the wire with alligator clip’s positive terminal (red wire).
  • Step 20: Similarly, connect one wire to pin 2 of 555 IC and join another end of the wire with alligator clip’s negative terminal (black wire).
  • Step 21: Take a paper, pencil, and scale then draw a potentiometer.
  • Step 22: Connect 9 V battery’s positive terminal on the positive end of breadboard and negative terminal on the negative end of the breadboard.
  • Step 23: Now by holding negative terminal of clip on one side of a potentiometer and varying positive terminal of clip on the potentiometer, play your piano notes.
