Over the last eight years, we have set up Robotics/Tinkering/Science Labs in 700+ schools across the country through our network of 30+ channel partners.

But before we get into the thick of it, let’s first find out what challenges we will face in the 21st-century.

And to tackle these challenges, we’ll need to acquire 21st-century skills.

The question arises how do we go about acquiring these skills?
This is where STEM education steps in.
What is STEM Education?
STEM simply stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. When we talk about STEM education, it refers to a curriculum rooted in the idea of educating students in four specific aforesaid disciplines imparted through an interdisciplinary and applied approach.
Rather than teaching these subjects separately, they’re taught cohesively applying principles from all four disciplines to be adapted in real-world scenarios.
Why STEM Education?
STEM education helps create critical thinkers, increase levels of science literacy, enabling the coming generation to become practitioners of innovation. Here, students can apply what they have learned in everyday life reinforcing theory and blending it seamlessly in practical scenarios.
Employability in STEM jobs is going from strength to strength. As per a study by Change the Equation, STEM jobs are projected to grow at a rate of 13 percent between 2017-27 compared to 9 percent for non-STEM jobs. While as per Pew Research Center, employment opportunities in STEM education have grown by 79 percent since the year 1990 – going from 9.7 million jobs to 17.3 million. What’s more, analysis of 100 STEM occupations revealed, 93 percent of them paid more wages compared to the national average.
All the above-mentioned numbers paint a pretty strong picture in favour of pursuing STEM education.
